Kosala completed 2019 his M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry at University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. He was awarded for PhD scholarship to work on Industry based research project ARC Research Hub for Additive Manufacturing with 2D materials (AM2D) on topic of graphene based protective coating (Supervisors Prof D. Losic and Dr D. Tran).
